In 2025, significant changes to flexible working legislation enhances employee rights, allowing requests from day one of employment and requiring quicker responses from employers.
Flexible working in schools is lagging behind other sectors. Many Heads and Governors are nervous about granting more flexible working requests. The main barrier being cited is TIMETABLING for flexible working.
